A minor-league start to baseball 07. :::LETS GO METS:::

User Rating: 8 | MLB 07: The Show PS2
The Good: player gestures, soundtrack
The Bad: glitches galore, poor graphics, dull announcers, you don't see or run the bases during a home-run.

A lot of this review is based on my only comparison, MVP Baseball 05. That being said, the difference between the two aren't much of a comparison at all. The player mechanics in MLB 07 are similar to MVP 05 which made it easy to get used to. However, aside from the detailed batting stances and player gestures in MLB 07, the amount of goodness that came with MVP 05 doesn't even place it in the same ballpark.

Right off the bat, *cough* the first baseman fires the ball into left field EVERY time an out is made at first. The ball is not "live" and doesn't interfere with the game but forget the throw around after a sweet play. Second, there's a towering high pop-up looming, long over head, but out of the clear blue, the player won't move letting the ball drop inches away. And the third strike, is the fact that you don't see home-runs or trot the bases except on replay. That's just crap. I'm sure I'll see more problems as I go but I haven't hung my $40 bucks up just yet.
