a great port that beats out the arcade version.

Review 6: Missile command, Atari 2600/ Atari flashback 2

After playing the arcade version of this game, I wasn't impressed, and I have to admit, I thought the 2600 version was going to be even worse. But boy was I wrong. Just like Asteroids, Missile command owns it's arcade counterpart.

One good improvement is YOU NEVER RUN OUT OF MISSILES! You only have one base this time, and it can take a few hits and still fire missiles. The gap that is too low for missiles is still there, but reduced now. It doesn't start getting hard until an appropriate amount into the game. Bombers will come eventually, but are manageable. You will eventually lose, but you will last a lot longer than you would in the arcade port.

Also precision aiming is much easier with the 2600's joystick. The button, of course fires your missiles. This port is much more worthy of the title "missile command" then the Arcade version. Thanks for reading.
