Yes. You can download, install, and use the public version of the GameSpot DLX Secure Delivery Plug-In absolutely free. There are currently no pay services available to end users. If, in the future, we were to offer "pay per use" or "paid subscription" services, it would be made very clear which services were free and which services were billed so that there would be no confusion. Note that some of our content providers may charge for the services and content that they deliver through the GameSpot DLX Secure Delivery Plug-In. But, again, it should be clear when you are signing up whether it's a paid or charged service.

I also have a CNET download plug-in that's similar to Secure Delivery. Is this the same program?
There is one Secure Delivery program (khost.exe). The program may be customized to have a certain "look and feel." This applies to the desktop icon, the program GUI, and the icon in the system tray. GameSpot and CNET (download.com) both have a customized version of Secure Delivery. If you have one version installed and then try to download a content item from the other, the look and feel may convert from the one customized version to the other.

Despite the different look and feel, the underlying program is the same. There should be no difference in how the program works. Content items from GameSpot will appear and play just fine in the CNET version and vice versa. If you encounter any problems using the two different versions, please contact GameSpot Support.
