One of the most underrated games of this generation!
I have split this review up into 3 parts; Story, Game play, Graphics
Story: The story of Mirror's Edge is definitely the weakest point of the game, although it still does a decent job. The story begins of when the sister of the character you play as; Faith, get's framed for a murder she didn't commit. From there, there are many twists but also many dry parts of the story. Although the game tries to make the story really relevant,it mostly fails but there are parts when the story play a heavy role on the game play such as, when you have to chase another "runner" across the roofs of buildings which later reveals a big twist. All in all the story is there, sometimes you'll like it sometimes its just there for something to do.
Game play: The game play of mirror's edge is where this game really shines beautifully. The game focuses heavily on platforming which, in this game is incredibly fun. When you run, you see your arms in front and when you jump, you see your legs which, reading this you might think is incredibly funny to point that as a positive but this really immerses you into the game. There is also a time trial mode which focuses on timing and speed which is also incredibly fun. The only minor flaw of game play is its somewhat shoddy fps mechanics. The guns don't handle as good as you might like but its not a killing factor of the game play. All in all its an amazing experience.
Graphics: This game's color palette is simply amazing. The colors are very very vibrant and that focuses heavily on the game play since red objects are where you need to go. There isn't much to say about the graphics of this game as some parts are some what bad too but these parts really overshadowed by the art style and the amazing vibrant colors.
Overall:Its an amazing game which was overshadowed in 2008 because of all of the other great games that came out that year but this game is definitely a hidden jem but might also be a hit and miss for some people.
Game play: 9/10
