BITE SIZE!!
The video previews and some cinematics shown before the game was released. Just a cute version of an overdone substance. Which to me felt refreshing.
Picking this game up was exciting. Placing it my drive was exciting and playing through the first 6 or 7 missions....quite refreshing, the other 9 or so levels do the exact same thing over and over again however.
This game had potential to be so much more. But it succeeds at being what it is. A likeable, loveable Mini Ninja fest. If your looking for a nice few days of happy, warm visuals and humor with a fair amount of chop em up and go 'POOF' gameplay. This is for you. Easily a rentable title. Or better yet, if you have kids. Buy it for them and it might last a little longer.
Its a great new exciting franchise that just needs a fair bit of work to catch up to the likes of some of the other releases this holiday season. If Eidos keep heading in the right direction and this does well enough to become a series, it will just need to add more variety in its gameplay and maybe some puzzles? Anything par the simple cute little hack and slash, where at the moment...that's just how it stands.
A fun playthrough never the less, even if it is a shortlived one where in the swords of variety need a little bit more sharpening.
