I like the home console version of M.N. But it just doesnt work on the DS.
But the game just didnt translate into a good DS game.
Its a fully 3D game, just like the 360/PC version, but they had to make some changes. Like no camera control (so its sometimes hard to see where your going).
The game looks fine (considering the DS only has half a Meg of video memory) but what looks cute on the home consoles, just looks blocky and boring on the DS.
They tried to make it work. They made some special changes to the DS version. They added an in-game map for example. But it just feels like an admission that the developers realized that the game was not working. And they tried adding some quick fixes, that were not part of the original concept.
The bottom line is... they tried to bring the home console experience to the DS, and it just simply did not fit.
