In Minecraft, the player, clad with any skin his mind can imagine and his computer can create, is dropped into a world of limitless creativity and wonderous formations of blocks. Any block your character destroys, he can pick up and put in his inventory, ready to be placed again anywhere the player desires. Minecraft provides 10 minutes of sun light for you to find a base, gather some blocks, and board up all the entry holes, for at the 10 minute cycle of night, hoards of enemies spawn, which, if they spot you, will try to murder you, in a blockish, family friendly way. This system of day/night sends a frantic message to the player to hurry up every day, as time is limited, and progress is everything. Some of these enemies, called mobs, can explode themselves, destroying whatever blocks may have the unfortune of being in the radius. You can choose to build whatever you want, a floating fortress, an underground maze, or a simple home on the range. Minecraft also offers a unique crafting system, allowing you to build torches, wood planks, carts, cart tracks, boats, buckets, shovels, axes, swords, armor, paintings and more. If you don't seem up for the challenge of running from skeletons, zombies, spiders, and whatever else the game world throws at you, you can play the game in peaceful mode, but there is the stand threat of falling to your death. Any way you look at it, Minecraft is sure to please, and doesn't get boring.
