The most common reason for ModLoader crashing your Minecraft client is because you haven't deleted the mod folder in ".minecraft."
It tries to load your old mods, ModLoader can't distinguish whether or not your personal mods are up to date. But an out of date mod can immediately crash the client. Go to your %APPDATA% folder, locate .minecraft, find the "mods" folder and delete it. Force an update after that then reinstall ModLoader.

I have reinstalled minecraft. No mod folder.
Most people is correct. Google it for yourself.
Most people who complain.
And people who complain tend to have it not work for them.

most people
If by "most" you mean "a small number of people who also have the decency to go to the modloader topic and post their error log which is automatically created in their .minecraft folder
then yes, most people

then yes, most peopleYou mean the same most people who have reported it but then to no avail have no responce from even the mod maker about what the slightest thing wrong can be when so many people have this problem so that the problem never gets fixed? Well the responce part is most likely wrong but I doubt there's going to be a fix. 1.0.1 will come out soon probably. The official one.
