For whatever reason you can only do splitscreen if you're playing on an HDTV. I don't know that it necessarily has to deal with widescreen, but that is probable. Also, if playing 2-player splitscreen you can choose from horizontal split or vertical split (just like "Portal 2").
yes you can do both. me logged in as my gamertag and my wife logged in as guest on slpit screen joined up with a buddy of mine who's wife was logged into his xbox as guest and the four of us played together online.
i just bought my son an xbox 360 connect.... it came with the old video and sound cables, you know the red/white/yellow (sorry i am completely untechnical and not a gamer at all just trying to help my son enjoy his xbox with his friends)... anyway, he wants to play mine craft multiplayer with friends .... how do i make it hdtv? do i simultaniously conect an hdmi or do i unplug the cables that came with the xbox 360 kinect or did bestbuy sell me something older and i need to take it back while i am able??
Well you should buy a HDMI cable its audio and video in 1 there is a HDMI port in the back of the Xbox. If you don't have a HD -TV then you cannot connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the television. Altough if you do connect one end to the Xbox and another to the TV after that your set but you must change the channel on the TV to the HDMI port you used. For example if i plug the HDMI in the Xbox then put the other one in HDMI port # 2 on the TV i change the channel to HDMI port # 2 when i am gaming.
