Boring generic formula!

I was actually excited about MindJack, you know, being a Square Enix game and what not, I got my hands on it with no expectations but of what I saw from the well-made trailers.
I've been playing and playing, waiting for the game to develop, have a more interesting intriguing story line, or even a better game play, but that did not happen. Seemingly, the game is just rushed off of old generic formulas of TPS/RPG and Personality Jacking, which is to say, is not a new invention by Square Enix, but let's not discuss that.
MindJack is not a hack.
There is nothing original about it, it is seriously boring, you do what you in the game starting from the first 10 minutes and further on with slight development to your EXP and Upgrades which are really useless.
The game fails to clarify itself as a Japanese RPG or an American shooter, it tries so hard to be a combination of both but does not deliver on both ends.
Game Play is awful, glitchy and sloppy, The B button does not always work, so if you want to smash a combo you might just end up smashing nothing and dying. The Mindjacking is very confusing and does not really sound as fun as it is supposed to be, especially when you Jack a Mech: it just does not work well.
The Take-Cover system also needed a little bit more work as you do not feel the smoothness of getting in and out of cover, the buttons seem to be really stiff in this game.
I am not sure who the target audience or the demographics of this game is, but I know that it won't really cater for the mass audience, not for the ones who prefer quick-pace action in similar games like Gears of War, or to blend in a little RPG element: Mass Effect.
Do not buy, Rent.
try it out, you may like it, but it is just too clinical, too boring, too stiff to be enjoyable at any level.

I really think Square Enix should stick to their standard genres, they do their best in there and we all appreciate the magic called final fantasy, but honestly, this is not a good game at all!

Disappointed
