Best Power Rangers game ever made, if you are a retro junkie like me, you will enjoy this beat em up.
GAMEPLAY:
Well of all the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers games I played, I never felt any of them did the series perfect justice. The SNES one was great but had some stuff to it that lacked the feel of the TV show, the Genesis fighting game had more to the feel of the show I think, the portables were OKAY except for the Game Boy one as it was horrible. Out of all of them, this one is the only one that choses the justice giving gameplay Power Rangers needed, an arcade style beat em up. All the enemies are from the show and movie, the gameplay battle moves are as those the Power Rangers would use, and the controls and mechanics are great, awesome AWESOME beat em up. The Zord battles are cool as well and the additional controls are nice. The best thing of all is the 2 Player Co-Op, which is how a Beat em up SHOULD be.
GRAPHICS:
For the FIRST and ONLY time ever, the sprites are CORRECT. In all the other Power Rangers game, all the rangers shared the same sprite just with different colors. In this game, each Power Ranger has their own sprite to their design, helmet, skirt for the Pink Ranger, and different look for the White Ranger. Not to mention the areas are well designed as well and well detailed cutscenes as well.
SOUND:
MUSIC WISE:
All the music is taken from the show and this is the first Power Rangers game to do so. It has songs like Fight, We Need a Hero, Combat and others as well as background music from the show as well.
SOUND WISE:
Nice energetic sounds and battle sounds, well put in
VOICE WISE:
You hear the Rangers shout out their morphin cries when you choose them, and the voices are taken from the actors on the show, I am not sure about the during gameplay voices as their are only two, a guy's voice who sounds like Rocky the Red Ranger's and a girl's voice who sounds like Kimberly the Pink Ranger from the show, but it all fits.
OVERALL:
If you are a fan of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and want a game based on the show, this is the best one you will ever find, it's perfect for any Power Ranger fan
