PROBLEMS
BADLANDS
Well, it's just Super Off Road with guns, which really doesn't warrant it being a seperate game. The sounds were irritating and at times, winning is impossible due to random spinning of your car if you and any number of opponents collide. The controls are average, much like in all the other games. Not really worth being on there as Super Off Road offers a better experience all round.
OFF ROAD THUNDER
The only game I truly enjoyed...though it didn't last long. The destructon races and flag tag offered a nice change from the usual bog-standard racing that the other games have. Other than that not a lot else to say...the graphics were so-so but they're hardly the issue. The random showing of women with trophies seemed a little odd to me too. The controls make it easy for anyone to play, but it's not enough to make up for extreme lack of gameplay.
RACE DRIVIN
Impossible to play, rubbish graphics (it may be old but C'MON!), no multiplayer, and a generally awful setup all round (who wants TIMED menus on a console!?). This is the worst game on the disc. AVOID IT FOR YOUR OWN HEALTH!
SAN FRANCISCO RUSH: THE ROCK
I've no idea what the hell this is supposed to be, but it was ok. The handling (unlike 2049) is aceptable but it's still all too easy to spin off and have to repawn yourself...which in itself is a horrible idea. Theres also a number of huge glitches, such as falling through some roads etc. Also some courses are imposible to navigate due to multiple routes which depend on how fast you're going, which is usually too fast to comprehend. The controls are mediocre, much like the game. Probably one of the better games overall.
S.T.U.N RUNNER
A bit fun? A bit er odd? Not much of a story or plot or much sense at all
but it was entertaining for 5 minutes. Usually very hard to reach checkpoints in easy, which is sooo annoying as it's supposed to be easy! Controls are wayyyy too sensitive and the whole thing looks like a bit of a colourful mess. I'd avoid this if given the choice...in fact avoid them all. It's not worth anything!
SUPER OFF ROAD
A rubbish top down racing game. A poor attempt at an emulation of the arcade classic, with poor sound and graphics. Nothing in this game captures the snazziness of the original arcade version, the controls are nothing without the steering wheel! Even the extra tracks are unoriginal and not worh being a seperate game on the disc...I think Midway wanted to seem like the game had more than it does...
HYDRO THUNDER
No jumping!? HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO REACH MY TURBO GOODNESS!? Easy to control...that's about it. Very difficult to win and input of name after every single race is tedious and irritating. The graphics are mediocre...and the sound is virtually none existant. Not worth your time AT ALL.
SAN FRANCISCO RUSH 2049
The game I wanted to play most was a HUGE disappointment. Cars are SLOW and the control is impossible on some of the 90 degree corners you'll face. Impossible to win basically...even on easy as the leader of the race goes so for ahead you'll never catch him. I thought the customization of cars was good but I was wrong it jsut complicates an already difficult game. Having to do 8 races in the main mode is irritating as one race takes virtually forever, not helped by time dragging by making it seem even slower!
OVERALL
A rubbish ported selection of horrible games. I would avoid it, it may sound and look fun but it really isn't. Sounds are terrible, graphics are awful and the overall content is s***. Never ever ever be tempted into buying this cos it is one of the worst uses of money invented...after fake moustaches.
