rumours of the steep learning curve made me think twice about purchasing this, IM SO GLAD I DID.
You can tell its a rock-star game, its sand box but with a twist, its fast, and i mean really fast with meaty hard core racing too!! The traffic keeps you on the back foot and the competition really makes you race hard, and enjoy yourself.
There are different races to have, freeway (fast), point to point (fast), pink slip (fast), tournament (fast..only more of them) or just piss the police off and see how many of them you can get chasing you, not a push over either ..
Each car handles the way it should with muscle cars being heavy and get the f#ck out of my way style, while the Lamborghini's are just f#ck me how fast am i going?? wait till you sit on the bikes !!! :) :) smiles all round until you come off,...quite a lot !!!
It takes a while so get some real cars and it isnt easy to get the money either!! You will be frustrated and restarting some races quite a bit, and others you ll breeze through, however you ll want to beat these guys, they mock you and taunt you on every race to try and put you off, a nice touch, aka juiced!!
It looks very detailed as you de expect and vibrant colours, dont get confused though, it could have been better but i think the sheer size of the game may have influenced this somewhat. Its huge, i haven't finished yet
I havent really got to try to hard to convince you this game is worth the effort, it is. Though sometimes you feel a little deflated, completing 5 races in the space of a couple of hours of some seriously nervy racing for not much cash, which feels just well for a better word "perfect" for not a lot of money. Its sooo much fun though, but sooo hard sometimes !!!
Customizable cars, plenty of variety, colourful and detailed, street racing with some really cool abilities (special moves) such as invincibility, emp which you have to earn make this a very enjoyable but one for the older generation of players game.
Younger players probably wont enjoy this, though the more experienced RACER not gamer will get 100 % from this. Online play is disappointing in area's but its one hell of a ride single player and its taken me years to do, im still playing it 4 years later.
I have found one major gripe and its clipping, some serious clipping happens sometimes throughout your experience. Your car sinks into the floor with bitmap images such as the buildings looking like they are from the ps1 days. Still it doesn't last to long just annoying when you hit an invisible car, just spoils a great experience.
A stylish different racer with an impact that ll you probably take to your grave. Memorable and so enjoyable, and did i mention its F#UCKING FAST.
