MC3 Dub-Overall good,but dissapointing game.
the game almost unplayable compared to MC2 on Xbox,which ran at 60 Fps almost all the time regardless of what else was happening.If you've never played MC2 try it once so you can see what a diff. framerate makes to playability of a racing game.MC3's horrid framerate sickens me,and it does negatively effect gameplay.R* should have never sacrificed framerate/gameplay to make graphics slightly better.They also should have spent the time to optimize this for the Xbox because there is no excuse for a game with these average graphics to run like this on Xbox,just laziness-sickening, really.Second,crappy,inconsistent A.I.Sometimes it races you at baby level,other(rarer) times you can try and try and if they don't want you to win,you won't win-simple as that.Should be set at a consistent level of challenge,also the cpu racers should adjust what they are driving to the kind of car you have.MC2 A.I. was always consistent-hard but fair.MC3 A.I. is schizo.And yes,I passed the game 100%.Did R* even playtest this or what?
Third,uninspired race design.I swear 80% of the races seem like some 14-year old made them in the race editor.Remember all the great races MC2 had-Dice,Parfait,Nikko,Haley,Savo's 6 stages?Well,here we get uninspired
garbage like Interstate 75 and El Cortez dash-yawn.The only 2 I remember as being good were Cloak and Jumps Galore.In the end,this game is still fun despite its' faults but I would say it's a weekend playthrough.The horrid framerate which in turn led to horrid gameplay just kills MC3 for me,if it had good fps like MC2 I would have given gameplay prob. an 8 to significantly raise my overall score of the title.
