Not how it used to be.

User Rating: 5.7 | Micro Machines V4 PS2
Micro machines V3 was the mark of the decline of Micro machines, the previous title on the PS2 just titles "Micro machines" was so bad that not many even knew it existed.

Well here it is again, and has it been re-patched to it's former glory? The answer is a very straight "No".

Single player is very tiresome and unrewarding. The racing itself is pretty standard, but the difficulty is just to much and leaves very little room for error. For completing these races you are rewarded with the ugliest cars ever seen. I'm well aware that they are Toy cars, but they have such little detail.

Not only that, but the cars are set out in a strange way, and you have to set "Favourites" for each theme of course (Which isn't specified until you are about to race).

The level design is the highlight of this game, and it certainly shows off what Micro machines is all about, Tenny-weenyness? Well, I hope you get the idea. The cars may look "Ugly" but what they lack in style they make up for in quantity. There are a total of 750 cars in total. Not a sum to sneeze at.

Multiplayer is actually quite fun, and can last you a good few hours. It may even be enough to justify a rent of the game. But otherwise, steer very very clear of this game.
