Great game. Something good we can remember Michael by other than his music.

User Rating: 8 | Michael Jackson's Moonwalker GEN
When Michael Jackson passed away earlier this summer, a lot of people did things to pay tribute to him. Some watched his music videos constantly, others listened to his music and watched TV specials on his life. I... did nothing at first actually, but I felt that I should have. So I decided to pick up Moonwalker and try it out, and I was actually impressed.

The game's premise is simple and straight forward. You play as MJ and make your way through levels designed after his music videos (Smooth Criminal, Beat it, Another Part of Me, Billie Jean, and Bad) in each level, Michael Jackson must save the children from the bad guys. Yep, that's it really. The kids are hidden in things throughout the levels: doors, windows, car trunks... these kids are everywhere. While trying to find all of the kids, Michael Jackson must beat up all of the bad guys in his path and avoid anything that might hurt him. Like bombs. Or dogs.

After Michael Jackson finds all of the kids, some random boy pops out of nowhere and guides Michael Jackson right to the end of the level (which he may have passed already) and MJ meets up with the boss of the game comes out and sends a bunch of thugs. This is the perfect time for Michael to dance right?

Yes.

You can actually hurt the thugs at the end of the level easier if you hold down a button and start to dance. I guess they can't take the extremeness of Michael Jackson's arsenal of dance moves (they actually dance along until MJ finishes them off with a move that cannot be preformed by anyone but him... I guess.)

So that's really the whole game. It's actually really fun, even if all of the levels are somewhat similar. Some may get a good laugh from Moonwalker, but I say that it's a good game that is filled with awesomeness. I would love to see any other pop star try to top this game (fame wise) because a lot of people actually liked this game.

Pretty good game, if you ever come across it, pick it up. It's probably going to be really hard to find in the coming months.
