One of the best!

When I was growing up and playing games on my NES I never thought I'd find such an adventure in a game as I would with Metroid. I remember going to Toys R' Us™ and getting the game myself with money I had recieved for christmas. I also remember getting grounded for staying up past my bedtime on school nights because I wanted to see what was around the next corner!

Metroid was one of the greatest games to be made in almost every category. The visuals, for it's time, were amazing and gave you the feeling that you were on this cold planet and each different "level" had it's own unique look. At the time the level o detail on the main character was outstanding and made me feel that it was like a movie (remember this was 1987 lol.)! I will admit the level design was a bit confusing and you could easily get lost!

The music was probably one of the most memorable aspects of the game. From the title screen to the ending credits, the music captivated me and drew me into the experience. The sound effects were also top notch providing what was the best sci-fi sounds in gaming. Even the boring Norfair song has a place in my heart.

The gameplay was even good! The controls were almost spot on and had a good response to them. When jumping and using the screw attack however, it made it a bit difficult landing on some platforms.

Overall, Metroid was one fine game and has since changed my life....really. I highly recommend this title to anyone with a Wii. Keep in mind it was the 80's!
