Metroid can be considered an instant classic by many. But it just doesnt live up to todays standards of classic games. Iv'e been a Metroid fan for about 4 years and I remember playing and passing this title when I was younger. It was a great game back then, very difficult but still a great game. But this time around I regret paying for it. The constant flickering character sprites and lack of map kept me from playing this title through again. Save your money and buy Super Metroid instead. If you really want to play this game but dont think you can take all the bad then pick up Metroid: Zero Mission which is a GBA remake of this game with added content.
