This game is simply awesome, the beginning of a great series..

When it comes to the Game Cube, it's hard to find a game that stands out like this one. I had played the old Metroid games before, and when this came out i got it right away. I was not disappointed, except maybe for the fact that it can be pretty difficult for a while. But even so, this game is just an instant classic, a masterpiece. The graphics, the sounds, the overall feel is great. Once you start playing you won't be able to put it down. Of course, the key to finishing this, especially with a 100% completion, is trial and error, since some of the Boss fights can get pretty hard.
But one thing i really really loved about this game is the variety of weapon and suit systems you encounter along the game. You get to upgrade your suit in all kinds of ways; they give you 4 different beams you unlock throughout the game, along with their missile combos of course; you also get upgrades to your morph-ball mode, those are always sweet; and then there is all the different suits you will need to access different areas, different visors that allow you to see your surroundings in different ways.. it just blows me away how creative they were here! There is also the possibility of finding extra energy tanks and missile expansions (which you will definitely need if you wish to finish the game at all). I know my review is being posted kind of late, since this game has been out for quite a while and there have already been a couple of sequels, but i really needed to express how i felt about it. It is seriously one of the best games i have ever played on the Game Cube.
