User Rating: 9.8 | Metroid Prime GC
This game is truly amazing in every conceivable way, and is one of the greatest games I have ever played. I simply don't know how to describe how good it is, but I'll try.

The Good:
-A huge, detailed world that can be explored for hours. There's so much information to gain and learn about Tallon IV, metroids, space pirates, and whatever else that sits around on the planet. And the variety of creatures and enemies in the world is amazing.
-Amazing graphics. Samus's visor can fog up, freeze, etc. You name it, it happens. And the game looks so good, that it doesn't even need prerendered cut scenes. Every little thing in this game has been worked to perfection to make it one of the most atmospheric games ever created.
-The combat is seamless. It's easy to learn yet challenging enough to keep you wide awake and busy. With a lock-on feature, you can strafe around your opponents and deliver the perfect blow. And the level of difficulty is nearly perfect.
-The sound helps add to the incredibly atmospheric mood of the game. Enemies will squeal and scream when hit, and your footsteps echo when appropriate. The music also sets up for some creepy moments, as well as the game's more positive tone.
-Absolutely no loading times provides for a seamless, realistic experience.

The Bad: (Please note that these things are very minor)
-The final boss actually isn't too hard in comparison to the bosses that came before it.
-The sound is great, but it sounds a bit dated at times, like it came from N64.
-The one thing that takes away from the gameplay is how enemies reapper in a room after you've defeated them. I leave, and come back one minute later and i have a swarm of pirates to fight off again.
-Some boss fights are a tad hard, but maybe that's just me.
-The game is a bit unwelcoming at first. The dark mood makes you feel insecure, and you have no idea what's going on. It takes an hour or two to start feeling like the game is actually fun.

Like I said, I don't know where to begin with this game. It is undoubtedly one of the best games I've ever played (out of over 70 games) and I don't see why anyone shouldn't play this game. So a Gamecube is only $60, right? GO BUY ONE AND PLAY THIS.
