Great FPS / Adventure although more difficult
Originally, I planned on buying a used copy of the first game, Metroid Prime. It was only 14.99 used, picked it up and went home. When I put it into my gamecube... I had Metroid Prime 2, Echoes.
The clerk mistakenly put the 2nd game into the box for the first one... Anyways, the game is pretty good more so then your average first person shooter. Its a step up from the original 2-D side scrolling Metroid but it has all the same elements that made the first series successful.
A vast world you can explore with all the familiar power-ups hidden throughout. Some very tough boss battles, and situations that leave you frustrated and wanting to toss your controller.
Often times I found myself unsure where to go and spent my time running back and forth throughout the world trying to find where I was supposed to go. When it was something minor that I just happened to look over, really easy. I'd recommend that when you enter a room take your time and examine it closely, see if theres any hidden passages, or tunnels. You don't want to rush through it all.
