In 2002 Retro Studios created the best Metroid game ever. Then in 2004 they improved on the Metroid formula thus bettering Metroid Prime and again making the best Metroid game ever. This is all you would want from a Metroid sequel and much much more.

Metoid Prime 2 Echoes starts off with Samus having to investigate a missing aquad on the planet Aether. Whe she decends to the planet her ship is severly damaged by the atmophere making her stranded. Good the her ship has an auto repair. She then goes exploring the planet in search of the squad. If you've not played this game I won't spoil any more for you.

This game plays just like any other Metroid game. Get the new item, use it to open up a new area and then explore to find the next item to open a new area and so on. The thind that's different is it's an adventure game in an FPS perspective. But it doen't control like one. You move with the analog stick and switch between weapons using the C Stick. If you want to look up or down you have to hold down R and use the analog stick the look around but you can't move when you are like this. L locks on to enimes.

The graphics in this game are amazing. Almost everything looks next-gen and just shows you what the GameCube can do and makes you wish that every game looked this good.

There isn't any voice acting at all except for Samus' grunt when she takes damage. The music is great though it gives the game a sci-fi feel and gets you scared at some points.

I beat this game in about 15 hours. But I did use a walkthrough to get through the 3rd area and I also used one to get all 9 of the Sky Temple keys. So I guess the game would be longer if you didn't use one but it's hard to belive someone beat the game without one because most of the puzzles are very complex and take a long time figure out.

I had a lot of fun playing this game. It's a whole lot better than the original but that doen't make the original a bad game by no means. You need to own this game if you have a GameCube and if you don't have a Cube then you should get one just to play this amazing game.
