Apparently, the problem here is not the controls. It's the presentation of the enemy in this video that is the case of contention. The enemy flips over, and reveals a bunch of glowing spots on its underside that would suggest the game convention of weak spots on enemies had been used. However, it would appear that the weak spot that has to be damaged by a finishing move is not any of the glowing regions, but rather its head.

Nintendo fans are such a bunch of whiny children. "I'm worried about the controls..." "I have reservations..." "This isn't how metroid is supposed to be." It's so annoying. You know what, the game looks great, people who've play it say it plays great, and Nintendo hasn't messed up a Metroid game yet. If you are so scared of change, then change your thinking or just wait until the game comes out and try your friend's copy before you buy it.

@disciple_Slave The aiming is the trick to the controller. If it's pointed at the screen you go first person, if it's not pointed at the screen it's 3rd person.

k one thing im getting kind of confused by... are we holding the wii remote sideways or vertical? because they just showed push up then 1 toward an enemy...stating we are holding it sideways, so how are we going to aim at the screen too? and is there no nunchuck usage?

dont tell me nintendo didnt use their controller scheme on one of their own games... oh wait, they havent used the wii remote how it was made since super paper mario, hmmmmm was it just a phase? did they themselves give up on motion control? I guess Zelda is coming out, but it's still no excuse to not use what you created for every game you make, that's your job.
