The black sheep of the Metroid series is one of the best.
But take me back to the games that pull out the stopper on hard and puzzling
any day. This is the last Metroid game I got to complete my collection, and I still have not beaten it. It has so many winding paths that I usually have no idea where to go; most of the time, thats bad but in this game, it pulls it off with extravagant flair. You will want to know where to go next, and hunt for the path until you do. The music is way off as Metroid goes. Awesome in Metroid 1
killer in Super Metroid but there is a huge lack of music in Metroid 2. The music starts out strong with the beginning, with a catchy tune you'll want to add to any MP3 player, but then it just stops. Other than that, this came pretty much sticks to the Metroid formula., but in this game you hunt down Metroids in their various life phases: Alpha, Gamma, Zeta, Omega, and finally the almighty Metroid Queen. If you need more Metroid action, then this is just the game you are looking for.
