Enjoyed the first one hope this one is better. The first one was good so can't help the high expectations for this one. One thing is certain the writing will be good.
Welcome to Moscow - Metro: Last Light Walkthrough Video
From this video it looks like this Metro has rather good in-game storytelling. Plus it's probably also worth noting how well it uses a variety of gameplay mechanics while keeping a unique feel.
@AlexTracy The game is based on a Russian science fiction novel ------> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metro_2033_%28novel%29
I really need to play the first game because this looks amazing. I got goosebumps watching this. I stopped about half way into the video, don't want to ruin any more. The atmosphere is amazing, I'm sold.
Nice to see the watch has been upgraded to something a lot more streamlined and simple. I never understood the time mechanic in the first game because my watches timer was always in the red. The digital watch makes it so much simpler now. Looks like the second game will be significantly improved and streamlined in all the right ways.
The first game was great, bit rough around the edges for sure but it was a highly immersive and enjoyable game. Played it trough sooo many times. I personally think its stupid to compare Metro games to STALKER games. They are 2 different kinds of games. Much like some nerds comparing MW3 to BF3. Geez
Really Loved the first game. This game looks amazing as well if not better, really can't wait to play it!
these are the best to watch, but playing original game through was a bit rough unless you know exactly where to go and hidden items to grab. I enjoy the fact that its challenging gameplay for sure, but ya i hope its a bit smoothed out this time with some of the actual progression stuff.
CAN"T WAIT, LOVED the first one. Awesome game. I approve and recommend to FPS and horror fans. AMAZING with surround sound.
Well that was creepy.
I'm liking a lot of the little things they have there, such as you having to wipe the blood/gunk/rain off of your gas mask visor occasionally or pulling out a lighter to burn away the spider webs or how you can see each individual bullet in the machine gun's clip as you fire it.
@norman69 you think so? i dont remember enjoying auto switching my filters while in combat... not so cool then, eh?
Now that is some good level design. The atmosphere is just spot on. Really miss that eeriness, and this game has it.
