GameSpot UK hunkers down in a nuclear bunker for a chat with the minds behind the post-apocalyptic survival horror FPS.
The gyger counter is going nuts and the reading is highhhhhh on the expectation side of things. Looks good, sounds good so far.
My interest in this game has taken a bit of a hike back up again. I'm looking forward to learning more about the game-play mechanics etc. The theme - although having to emerge from one of last year's biggest shadows cast - is very promising, and the presentation so far appears very impressive. Looking forward to more info here
looks fantastic. i miss these exciting, experimental story driven games. we dont really get many of them in this generation of gaming. i llok forward to playing it. ps. i'd hate to be one of those guys just stood there with a gun.
It's looks like fallout 3 kinda, but like team based instead of roaming the wasteland freely...which is cool. I want the game now!
I think that is the same engine of STALKER. I love the dinamic ilumination of this game but I hope the motion capture of the npc when running or talking is diferent from stalker.(sorry for my bad english)
my pc gamer did an article on this...it appears that people fight people and they also fight some kind of demons with "psychic" powers...or weapons of the mind idk if they will refer to it as PSYCHIC in the game, but either way. seems very similar to STALKER fighting humans and monsters with mind powers...but there are different screenshots IN the PC gamer than there are on the web and they look much better than the web ones...areas look and feel crowded and alive in these shots
Fallout, borderlands and stalker post-apocalyptic setting is really kickin it. and for me it is really interessing because it can happen, but nobody knows how will it look. looking forward to this
mab this looks awesome i mite just hav to shell out another $300 for a 360 theres other exslusives to. i dont think it looks anything at all like fallout 3 really. the weapons looks sweet to :D
story sounds interesting but it would be even better if multiplayer was added also, but I highly doubt it though o well, for me right now is just worth a rent :)
I love these serious dark stories, Half - Life, Left 4 Dead, Fallout, Bioshock.......This game is gonna be as good as those I think.....
The longer the game's enemies are kept under wraps, the more I want to play this game. It adds to the mystery that makes it so intriguing. It really bothers me when developers shell out so much information on a game before it's release because it ruins the experience for me in a way. For example I was watching a preview of Bioshock 2, and it was said that every big daddy has a connection to one and only one little sister to protect by any means. I can tell you right now that Big Sister is your character's little sister... plot twist ruined. I guess I'm not watching any more previews, but some of it you just can't avoid hearing about... oh well
@Sturd880: Wow the first statement killed your whole argument. "... I haven't even played Fallout 3". Quit comparing a game that hasn't been released to a game you haven't played.
@sturd880 The book was written before fallout 3 even came out. If anything was copied, it would have been fallout 3 copying the book. Idiot.
I dont Really Care what other people say, Im impressed, A Good Story in a Survival Wasteland Setting im game
@it009x9281: A big part of the dev team are former GCS Gameworld members that worked on Shadow of Chernobyl.
Haha, wow Fallout 3 all over again. And that is coming from someone who never even played Fallout 3. If it smells like stolen intellectual property and plays like stolen intellectual property.... well, you know the rest.
This "author" only thinks this game is a great translation from his book because no one else would buy his story.
Looks great. Reminds me of Fallout 3 and all the Russian Stalker series though. I hope it will not remind me of the horrible PC gameplay of Stalker. Fallout 3 ruled on both console and PC. I will be purchasing this game nonetheless
