As I write this review, I'm only renting this game. Still, you can get through it all in a few hours, so I know it all already. (I didn't play 6 yet...) This collection takes the arcade shooter and brings it to the console, with a few extra goodies. It has all the Metal Slugs here, and they survived well. Unfortuantley, there are lots of load times, even in-game. Still, if you can endure that, you'll have some fun. Playing it alone is fun, you can try to challenge yourself or collect a bunch of the pick-ups. Where I think this really shines is playing with a friend. This is really the most fun you can get. If you have a sense of comic humor, you'll laugh a whole lot, providing you're in a good mood. You could spend so much time playing through each of the games with a friend, like I did the night of this review. We had a ton of fun.
Positive: Very simple but fun action, goofy graphics and comic pick-ups, the edition of Metal Slug 6 is great, coop is pure joy.
Negative: It's either too easy or too hard, not a lot of real variety, playing alone isn't always the most fun, freakin load times are an annoyance.
Frustration Level: 1 on easy and ifinite lives, varies without infinite lives.
With three consoles to choose from, you have a good chance to get this game. I highly recommend it to any fan of simple but fun arcade shooters.
