Silicon Knights and Konami combine to make one heck of a remake of one heck of a game!

This is game that people who have not experienced the original Metal Gear Solid will probably absolutely love, but can be a blast for those who experience it. This game is one heck of a remake, Silicon Knights and Konami did an excellent job!

The memorable gameplay has been juiced up with most of the Metal Gear Solid 2 formula, and fortunately, that includes the A.I. This game, like its sequel boast some excellent gameplay and best I have experienced in a stealth-action game. The assortment of weapons is nice, I just wish you had the convienence of a silenced gun or tranquilzer like you did in Metal Gear Solid 2. The smart A.I. is a major plus, it can be frustrating, yet draw appreciation at the same time. There were quite a few times where the little box trick wouldn't work...unfoturnately they figured to shoot the box, kick it, and even pick it up, either discovering me under it, or wounding/killing me in the process. Gotta love it! It just makes the gameplay that much more realistic and futher enforces stealth element.

Boss fights....wow....EVERY SINGLE ONE IS MEMORABLE! And I mean that. Being a person that experienced the original, I kind of wondered if they would feel any special again..boy I was surprised. It was fight itself, the cutscenes that accompanied them, or both that made the spark with me again. My personal favorite is the **super minor spoiler that I don't think will affect your experience much at all...**

the Psycho Mantis boss fight. People, even if you've fought him in the original version, man it was just WONDERFUL how they remade the fight, so awesome!!! For me its even more memorable than its original form. **End super minor spoiler that I don't think will affect your experience much at all...**

The cutscenese.....wow....lol. They seem to me like they draw inspriation from the Matrix. They....are...AMAZING!!!! A sight to see!!! Well-direction, and the action cheorography is AWESOME. The soundtrack is icing on the cake!

The story for the most part stays intact. However, I think the way it is presented and the things that are revealed are done so in a way to create connections to, and lead you towards, the story of Metal Gear Solid 2. In fact, I think players may appreciated Metal Gear Solid 2's story even more after experiencing this game, I know I do!

Overall, this is a excellent stealth-action game with incredible cinematic direction. Hideo Kojima continues to amaze me with his vision, and this product of a Konami/Nintendo collaboration blew me away. Highly recommend!
