This classic "sidetrack" game is a Portable Classic and includes many varying features.

User Rating: 8.5 | Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops PSP
After Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater was released, Konami started working on a "sidetrack" game for the Portable System.
Though it does not contain all of the elements included in the Console games, it introduces new features and doesn't disappoint.
Playing as Snake, you start off inside your jail cell and manage to escape, after that you manage to build up your own team of comrades by capturing them and converting them to your side (usually by knocking them out and dragging them to your truck).
After you complete your first mission, multiplayer is enabled (ad hoc and infrastructural play) also don't forget the feature of game sharing.
Online play is a very fast action packed feature that is very addicting. Although you cannot use a microphone (like socom games) you can use fast team chats while playing in multiplayer.
Using multiplayer controls can be a little bit tough and take a while to adapt to.
Bottomline is that this MGS Classic is now on the PSP and is a good "break" from the Console games. While it doesn't include all of the features from prior MGS games on the consoles, it does include a new theme of gameplay and a different motive for play. The Multiplayer function is very fast-paced and action packed which suits this game as one of the best games for PSP.
