Metal Gear Solid Digital Graphic Novel isen´t really a game, it is more like a movie. MGSDGN is a comic, just like the MGS comic series that was released last year. It is Ashley Wood who has made the comic, and it looks awesome. When you look at the comics, and are on a page, it´s cool to see all the bubbles with text appear. The comic is 271 pages long and you can at anytime jump to all the pages. There are 2 ways to see the comic. You can flip it page by page, or you can watch it as a 2 hour movie. The overall comic is very good, through it´s a bit lacking in action, and the boss battles are over too soon. New plot points have been made, which will keep you guessing, even if you allready know the story. This is how the story should have been in Twin Snakes. If you don´t know the story of MGS1, you´ll find a gripping plot, with suprising twists and turns. The comic is also interactive. At everytime, you can press Square, and you enter the mental search mode. Here you search the page for memory. It could be a gun, character, or talking subject. There are 318 memorys to find. You won´t find them all on the first run, so you have to watch this one many times in order to find them all, which might turn off some. The items you find can be used in a MGS matrix. Here you can connect the items you have found. Doing do gives you background story on the characters. The comic also comes with some new music and sound effects, allthrough some of the music are directly taken from Twin Snakes, but it´s does the job. The only things bade here is the lack of voice acting Overall MGSDGN is a good movie. It´s not really a game, which makes the game hard to rate. If you like MGS, you should give this one a look. If you are new to MGS, then this one is good too.
