This game proves that videogames are not a waste of life. You haven't lived without playing this beauty and beast.
The good stuff about this game:
-The conclusion of every chapter will leave your face like this: O.O
-The most satisfying conclusion to a saga EVER.
-Some of the best graphics the PlayStation 3 has to offer.
-The story is amazing, but you must play MGS1-3 to have it make sense to you.
-Gameplay is never boring. You think it will be, but something unexpected occurs and you jump back in.
-The length is long. Long enough for a conclusion to a great series. Took me 15:36:24 to beat it on my first try.
-Metal Gear Online, a free online shooter game that you can enjoy long after the single player campaign is completed.
-Replay value for unlockables, and just to enjoy the story once more.
-VERY cinematic. EPIC. Turn up the subwoofer and the big sound on a big TV and you will get goosebumps.
The unfortunate stuff about this game:
-Some may not like LONG cutscenes (50% of the game) I, personally love cutscenes, so it was no problem for me. I'm just putting this as warning for those with low attention spans.
-Framerate can jump around, but it's ok.
-Some cutscenes drag on about seemingly boring stuff, but if you're too into the story, you won't even notice.
This game is the ultimate game for PS3. It shows what it can do. I wouldn't give it a perfect 10, because perfect 10s shouldn't exist. I'd give it a 9.8 if GameSpot would let me, though.
