The Ultimate 3rd Person Shooter! Truly living up to its name!
Graphics: Again, perfection is the word, the enviroment looks amazing and you can even see the dust rising from the ground as the wind picks up, and when you aproach the camara to see snake from up close its incredible how realistic and cool its looks, the always awesome shadow over eyes that every kickass anime characther as, and in snake it simply looks amazing, even though he looks a bit old.
Gameplay: What is there to say, perfection, besides the normal weapon firing you also have an insane amount of gadjets and extras, for those who in the old games were always complaining about being caught, well you dont have an excuse now with the new camo suit, it literally makes you invisible, besides taking the colours and textures of whatever it touchs it also hides your body temperature and breathing so that the gekko giant robots cant see you, and with the percentage of how well hidden you are you feel in perfect control of your enviremont. Besides that you have a remote control robot which can go ahead and take out some guards for you and even, wait for it..., an...IPOD, yes youre very own Ipod, and in the mist of a figth who doesnt like to hear a good relaxing jazz. Also earlier in the game youll meet a weapons delar that trough youre remote controled robot will sell you all kinds of weapons, modifications, ammo, and everything an ex navy could need. But all that aside the new and most amazig new gadjet in MGS4 is the Solid Eye, a gadjet that snake wears in is left eye and that shows him information about his surroudings, functions like a monocular and even a thermal camara. Another very well made thing in this game is the AI, they use tactics to catch you and the samallest noise can alert him for youre position, to which they imidialtely invistigate, its simpli looks realistic.
Story: The last time i played a game with such a well made story, was when i played FFX and still, thhat was nothing like this. In MGS4 the whole world is like a battleground as technology used in wars is taken to the limits, soldiers bodys are monotorzed in terms of almost anything, from heartbeat to pain feelings and ammo and rations left, all of this trough small robots injected inside these soldiers, also thanks to these robots soldiers can easily surpress pain and fatigue, making them the ultimate fighthing machines, pity Snake is old fashioned and doesnt have them. Its in this world that Liquid Ocelot makes hes apperance and sets the trap for Snake.
Honestly i dont think that this review can show how perfect and amazing this game is, and for the sake of all thats awesome get this game, specially now that you can buy it for about 30 bucks, because believe me, you wont be disapointed.
