I havn't played any previous MGS games, im not really into the whole stealth thing, i have infact experienced the first part of the 2nd MGS game through a free demo and i have to say i enjoyed it immensly. So when this game came out i wasnt sure if i was going to get it, i mean...it was in the jungle and apparently the hall-mark of the series is..well, the inside so to speak. But recently i gave in to my temptations and bought the game. I have played the game through a whole day solid and i have reached the Fear boss(Problem is i dont have thermal goggles so im screwed). The characters here on show are amazing and i love everyone so far, i love Ocelot, The boss..EVA, the character models and animations are some of the best ive seen.

The story and gameplay got off to a slow start but after hearing so many good reviews i kept going and then the game really picked up, what did it for me was when i defeated the ocelot unit, when they broke through the door and i owed them down with an AK, it felt good. The cut-scenes are the best i have seen full-stop and the story is really engrossing. The game is endless with beautiful jungles, wildlife, plantlife(All accessible to eat or take), you even have to heal yourself e.g, when your wading through water you most likely will find your stamina decreasing faster then normal, so you check the 'cure' option which shows a full image odf snake and labels all the prblems that has occured whether its bullet wounds, burns(you have to treat all of them) but in this case you have leaches on your leg, you go to your inventory and grab a cigar then use it to burn the leech off, pure genieus Hideo!

The game is a masterpeice, i have heard that if you havnt had much past experience with MGS or your not a fan of this you probably will find this hard and not very entertaining..wel take this from me(i havnt even played or understood a single MGS game in my life) you will love this guys! Just get past the virtuous mission and then the game will come to life! If you really like it then i suggest MGS3:Subsistence which is basically MGS3 only with fantastic extras and an amazing online mode
