User Rating: 10 | Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (Mega Hits!) PS2
First of, to be clear though, even though it is a 2001 game, read on to find out why you should purchase it... Tactical, Espionage and Action...Everything is still intact here, but only improved...
Probably the biggest difference between the first and the second game is the graphical difference...
MGS 2: Sons of Liberty takes place both two and four years after the incident in Shadow Moses. Solid Snake, now a member of the anti Metal Gear group, "Philantrophy", has learned that a new type of Metal Gear is being developed and transported by the U.S. marines to an unknown and secret destination.
It was thanks to Revolver Ocelot, the gunslinger from the past, that Metal Gear's top secret technology was leaked into the black market, making the weapon increasingly common sight in the armed forces of nuclear powers, all over the world.
The new prototype is called RAY, a more flexible Metal Gear that looks more like a reptile, then a nuclear tank device, running on two legs...
Snake's mission is to infiltrate the transport, disguised as a tanker, and get more information about the prototype...
At first everything seems to be going fine, but then the tanker is being seized
by a mysterious armed group. This only makes it more difficult for Snake, to find out more about the prototype.

Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of liberty is composed of two chapters: the "Tanker Chapter" and the "Plant chapter".

Two years after the tanker incident and four years after the incident in Shadow Moses, a huge offshore facility has been occupied by a terrorist group calling themselves "Sons of Liberty". The president who was on a tour on the facility in that particular day, has been taken hostage, and as you might guess the terrorists have demanded a large sum of money in return for his release.
The terrorists, have been threatening to detonate a huge amount of bombs
placed around the Big Shell, if the government does not fulfill there demands. As a result, huge amounts of toxins would be released into the sea and unleash the worst environmental disaster in the history of the Manhattan Harbor.
The newly reformed group FOXHOUND, has been called to handle the situation.
FOXHOUND's choice was to let the agent, Jack, codenamed Raiden to single handedly infiltrate the "Big Shell" and carry out a covert operation...
Raiden has no real-life combat experience, but he is highly trained thanks to the VR simulation training.

The game mechanics have been changed, and Snake/or Raiden can now
hang from a railing, while running you can now execute a somersault(Raiden will execute a roll), you can climb up objects that are roughly waist-high, you can peek(which kind of was expected), you can swim, and those are only the extras, note that everything that you could do in MGS you can also do in MGS 2...

I really, really appreciate if you've read my review...Thanks! :D
