I'm just annoyed that the MG credibility is dropping. Sure, giant walking robots aren't realistic, but at least thats where they drew the line. Now we have a tiny cyborg who is able to cut anything and also throw around aforementioned giant robots like they weigh nothing. AND RAIDEN IS JUST A SCOUT?!
1 Like @Lei_11 MGS had a cyborg from the first game and the second so this does make sense. Raiden skeleton has been enhanced to turn him into the cyborg that he is.
@ThisIsKets I guess you're right to some degree, but I don't agree fully. The 'cyborgs' from MGS1 and 2 are in fact living breathing people in exoskeletons. They weren't full-on cyborgs and they did not go as far as Raiden does in term of insane capabilities (though Grey Fox did catch the foot of the REX unit in MGS1, but REX wasn't trying very hard). So I can somewhat agree that Raiden being a cyborg makes sense in the MGS-universe, but I do not agree he should be as powerful as he is within this universe as well.
It seems fun, I hope it delivers. BTW I dont think of this game like a Metal Gear game, this is a spin off, The good part is that is being developed by a good studio like Platinum.

i have played all mgs series so far and i know all the history about mgs ,
and a lot of people are saying " Good Game ? ".
for that persons , i will say :
a good game is the first metal gear for msx2 and metal gear 2 : solid snake for the same plantform.
for that persons i have in my home all mgs series and posters and special editions !!!
i have passed all mgs , but the mgs i continue playing is mgs for psx , mgs 2 for ps2 and mgs 3 for ps2 .
i have passed all this 3 games several times .
what a like to say is , this olds mgs have history , passion , fear and things
make to people thinking in their actions !
this new mgs is a crap this game have one objective " selling

1 Like why are people complaining? they're probably gonna make MGS5 coz they like said they're working on a new fox engine. this is a spinoff and raiden's story not solid snake's. you should probably complain when solid snake's the one doing the slicing and dicing. and it's really up to you if you wanna buy the game or not sheesh. and btw i remember the first trailer said "lightning bolt action" not stealth
I heard from somewhere/someone (cant remember source) that MGS5 was being developed... either way im buying this one. DMC will be a P.O.S. compared to this :)
Raiden is cool... so I just take that Metal Gear no longer is "Tactical Espionage Action" but now is "Super Comic Action".
I like I guess.
1 Like I don't understand people getting all worried about this 'ruining' metal gear. It's part of the metal gear universe but it's clearly something different, gameplay wise. So relax people. Enjoy the fact that it's something different.
2 Like 1. This is a slice and dice brutality game, more like Dynasty Warriors than Metal Gear
2. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places, but this game does not appear to have the usual GROUNDBREAKING story or epic cinematics that the MGS games have. And let's be honest the story is truly amazing in the MGS series, especially as the games got deeper into the goings on of the secret groups
3. Raiden and no Solid Snake..Snake is probably one of the all time heroes of gaming, and founding characters of gaming. Everyone knows Snake, and even Big Boss would've been a better playable character
As an MGS fan this game really is a far cry from the others in the series from the PS era on

Looks like some ppl don't understand the diference between SOLID and RAISING. The game looks fun, and still hold a bit of stealth, as we see that Raiden made a few stealth kills. I'm getting it, as someone said before I also wanted to play like Grey Fox cyborg ninja in a full game years ago, and this seems to be the closest thing to that.
@West123 Yes I do know that. I know the first 2 mg were released in japan for the MSX, and for the NES later but most ppl knew the franchise from the Solid in the PSX
HE cut up a helicopter holy hell this game is going to be sweet I remember playing mgs on ps1 and wanting to play as a cyborg ninja like he fought and when he fought the metal gear that is what I wanted and I wanted that more when rydan kicked ass in mgs4 now I finally will get the chance to play as a kick ass cyborg ninja and it is snakes little half pint apprentice all grown up on his own trying to save the world like snake I cant wait "This time I protect you... snake"

This game got NOTHING to do with Devil May Cry. Although platinum got a lot of inspiration from the series for past games.
Anyway, this is going to be interesting...

@rks2012 Because it's not stealth and stuff. But this is not MGS and never was expected to be, so I don't see why people are complaining.
The whinning in this comment board is unbearable, i tought MGS had a smart fan base but it turns out I was wrong* It's just a spinoff, the game look extremely fun to play (it will replace my lost NG fever) so stop the hate already.Also they've been working on the game with extreme dedication to the demands of people wanting to play as Raiden
