Wow! Anybody else lovin' the demo?

Holy sh*t. I just finished the demo... it's unreal. The dodging and/or blocking isn't the best, but it's f*cking amazing. They did an outstanding job. It's at least a 9/10.

MGR absolutely annihilates that Ninja Theory DmC junk! THANK YOU PLATINUM GAMES! Now I have a good DMC style game to look forward to. The videos for this game have always looked excellent, but after playing the demo, I'm sold.

PG really knows how to make a sci-fi-fantasy action slasher. Bayonetta was the best action game since the DMC series (the Ninja Theory game doesn't count since it's amateur at best) and now they've done it again with this and I've only played the DEMO.

NICE JOB, PLATINUM GAMES.  :D

Anybody else enjoying the MGR demo?

EDIT: I guess I should mention why I like it: great controls, nice and smooth. Wonderful, crispy animations and lighting which is definitely reminiscent of Bayonetta. You can tell it's on the same engine, it FEELS like Bayonetta in a lot of ways, like when she does her finishing moves (they pretty much used a very similar formula in this with the finishing moves). The slow-mo slashing is really awesome. I didn't have any issues at all with the framerate, etc... very smooth and fun. What a great game to finish off the winter with. :D

I love the demo. I played through it several times on normal and learned new moves every time. I don't know why people are having such a hard time trying to parry. It's not difficult at all. And the wolf boss is a straight-up punk. He seemed to be running away from me, but couldn't get away until he leaped onto the roof lol. The game takes time to get used to, but once you figure out what to do, it's a breeze. It's too bad I couldn't play the demo on hard. I don't understand why they're adding a easy assist mode. Is it really that hard to parry?

I think most people are upset that there is no Block, dodge or parry button. Personally I don't find parrying difficult but it really is annoying not to have a block or dodge button dedicated to this when its practically genre staple. Raiden just isn't as nimble as he should be as well (jumps pretty shallow for a cyborg with augmented legs). Not to mention the controls for Cut mode are god aweful, I feel like im fighting the indicator when im lining up a cut

Blade mode can be a pain, I'll give you that. I think it's years of playing FPS games. I'm used to looking around with the right stick while holding the L button. I think it's just as much of a pain  when you're learning to aim in a FPS.

There is a dodge, they just don't tell you how to do it for some reason. X + square (or A + Y on 360) while pushing in a direction let's you dodge. It's more useful than parrry for a group of enemies, but I like parrying better when only focusing on one enemy.

Yeah the demo doesnt tell you how to do any of Raiden abilities outside of blade mode. With a bit of trial and error you find the range of actions you can perform are actually pretty deep
