Your right, how can this game compete with a title where it's own creators can't give 2 ***** about their fan base? By putting in an easter egg, to **** on them? By making the protagonist's, that deserves no other name, hair turn white to 'cater' to the fans?

Yep, DMC Devil May Cry sure is great, especially when you have to say the title twice. you can get a sense of the ingenuity from the devs.

So just how the hell do you know it's bad? Because Dante's hair is different? Because whiny kids on the internet told you it was? I've played all the DMC games including this one, so unlike you...I can make an informed opinion. You ought to try that yourself. Then again, you're one of those kids that's predisposed to hating something just because it's different, right?

Funny thing is, people on this board are a lot more civil about this game...even though it's nothing like any previous Metal Gear. So SOME fanbases can actually behave maturely. Good to know. Any of you wanting to go to the DmC boards, don't. It's a wretched hive of scum and villainy.

Back on topic, this game looks to be a lot of fun. Gonna be a good time to be an action game fan.

Because it is trying to be so cool that it fails. Is Dante still in Highschool.

It probably can't compete with DMC, no, but DmC? It probably can.

no because i saw it with my eyes.i thought the gameplay, design(not just dante the environments, enemies and bosses all looked lame just like ng3),weapons,combos,nothing i saw looked good at all.so like ng3 i dont need to try a game like that to know i dont like it.now thats just me other people can do what they want.

Yeah, I can't stand it when people tell me that "YOU WON'T KNOW UNTIL YOU'VE PLAYED IT!"
If you have enough expertise within a genre, you generally can tell the technicalities of the ruleset just from looking at it.
For example, when I see Tekken gameplay. I can usually tell which buttons are being pressed just from looking at the onscreen action due to how each button corresponds to a different limb on the body. (Left punch, right punch, right kick, left kick.)

I thought Anarchy Reigns looked like a boring beat em up just from watching the gameplay vids but everyone swore that it's a beat em up that plays like a fighting game.
I bought into the hype, got it day 1 and I was horridly disappointed at how Anarchy Reigns plays exactly like a boring beat em up, lol. (It has the same basic button & move layout as Samurai Warriors. Which is a bit deeper than Dynasty Warriors.)
You could just as easily re-title it as Anarchy Warriors and pass it off as a Koei game.
I was about to trade it in but Death Ball saved that game.

I've played all the DMC games including this one, so unlike you...I can make an informed opinion.

    I've only played and mastered DMC 1 & 3.
Who cares that you played them? Were you any good at them? That's all I care about really. The informed opinions of those who understand Devil May Cry's combat ruleset.
Most people who are that good, claim that DmC is better than DMC2 but nowhere near as great as DMC 3, & 4. Most objective opinions claim that DmC is a good action game but not a good Devil May Cry. In contrast look at the opinions for Bayonetta. Many people claim that it's better than Devil May Cry.

If Tammy's DmC had gameplay that was on par or surpassed Bayonetta, you'd actually see far less whining about DmC in general.
However, that's not the case. DmC is just the flavour of the month.
I've decided that DmC isn't worth my time. It probably would have been, had MG Rising not been scheduled to release the following month.

While Rising is more of a Ninja Gaiden style game. I'd rather take that because it'll most likely have huge replay factor like all Platinum games do.
That's the main problem that I have with Western game design. Their games are usually meant to be experienced once, then you get bored with them and trade them in for a new game.
Least that's my experience so far with most Western games. Xcom Enemy Unknown being one of the only Western produce that's developed with replay factor in mind.

No, DmC is far superior. Looks aren't everything. I love MGS and was really hoping this was going to be great, but its not exactly smooth or fluid.

I played both demos at euro-gamer last year and to be fair, I liked MGR more than I did DmC. For me I didn't like the controls in DmC I prefer to press a button and switch weapons rather than having to had it down, also the lock on system was off base and the camera made want to CRY.
I found the boss fight in the MGR demo fun, even more so because they had there only little time challenge going on.

But as always that MO, other my prefer DmC, that's want makes it great to be a gamer choice, I just wish there was more to choose from.
