Metal Gear Acid is a fairly enjoyable game, but its gameplay is what tears it apart.

The Good: Good, lengthy single-player campaign, some nice visuals, impressive sound. The Bad: Some ugly textures in the visuals, a very annoying, difficult-to-use control scheme which can make the game feel dull. Metal Gear Acid is a good game in its own right. It has a captivating single-player campaign, nice visuals, and some impressive sound effects and dialogue. So, everything works well, but when it comes to the gameplay, you will probably want to kill yourself. Or, at least I did. The game moves at an extremely slow pace. In this game, you have turns. In each turn, you choose what you want to do by selecting cards (each card is either a weapon, a special move, or something else to help you to get through your mission). You can only select a certain amount of cards to use until your turn is over. So, this sounds simple and easy. But, the truth is that it is a frustrating, and very complicated system, and you will notice that this system makes this "would have been great tactical strategy game" into an extraordinarily annoying and difficult game (very difficult--you will find yourself having to repeat the same level over and over again because you chose the wrong card at the wrong time). The game, from my opinion, is based a lot on luck. As you could imagine, this sucks more than ever. So, good in most areas, but gameplay is mediocre. I'm not sure if this game is worth getting.
