Megaman X8 is a huge step up from X7...

Not just graphically, but gameplay wise, as well. It doesn't transition from sidescrolling to 3rd person behind the back any more, which is a good thing. The graphics are a little better than the last one, making better use of cell-shading, bringing back more of the "2D" look of Megaman X. I'd have to say it isn't the best Megaman X, as 4 and 5 were, but it is a 3rd to those games, so it's well worth it. The only gripe is that the game is, as usual, too short. It's what you've come to expect from Megaman X which is, great sidescroller shooting and slashing.
