X3 and X2 are the best Mega Man X games. I would have to say X2 and X3 are equal. The differences are in X3 you can play as Zero but only for half a stage and you can't fight bosses with him. In X3 you can get ALOT more upgrades. The radar helmet,body armour, super x-buster and the leg upgrade that lets you dash in the air and straight up. X2 is just plain fun and some of the levels are more fun.

Mega Man X3 is also on Playstation but with remixed sound. The SNES version uses MIVI (or MIDI can't remember) sound and the Playstation uses MP3 sound so the music is not much different in the two versions and on the PS version some sound effects are also different like the x-buster sounds different and intead of the z-saber making a "whooomp" noise like in the SNES i t makes a "pssiaoo" noise

The X Collection has the Playstation version on it. Just get this game.
