A superb start for the Mega Man X series.

Well, I can easily say that Mega Man X is one of the best Super Nintendo games ever. Anyways, here's my MMX review.

Gameplay: It's classic Mega Man gameplay that never gets old. You get the jumps and your chargable arm cannon, plus wall jumps. Mega Man X is also the first Mega Man game to debut an intro stage that wasn't in Mega Man's NES adventures, and all of the later games in the franchise also have one. Unlike the later MMX games, you do not have the dash feature in the beginning; You have to get the Leg Upgrade to start dashing away. But hey - This game is still great. Speaking of upgrades, when you find a capsule with a holographic version of Dr. Light, he tells you about the upgrade you're about to jump in, and then you go into the capsule. Depending on the capsule, you'll upgrade one of four parts in X's body: Your Helmet, your Buster, your Armor and your Legs. The helmet upgrade allows you to break certain blocks with your head (Super Mario, anyone?), the Buster upgrade allows you to use a Spiral Charge Shot, the Armor upgrade decreases your damage fifty percent and like I said about the Leg upgrade, it allows you to dash, and like the Helmet upgrade, you can break blocks, but with X's feet. There are also Sub Tanks, which let you to put in life energy in here when your life bar is full, and Heart Tanks, which increase your life bar's maximum. Plus, like Mega Man's NES adventures, there are also passwords for you to type in. Overall, the gameplay is fantastic.

Graphics: Good graphics for a Super Nintendo game.

Sound: All the sounds are exactly like they should.

Value: Solid action in the game makes you coming back to the game.

Tilt: Overall, Mega Man X is a superb start for the Mega Man X series. The gameplay is solid Mega Man action, the graphics are near-perfect and the sound effects and music are superb. This is a must own to Mega Man fans and Super Nintendo owners alike.
