Truly, the only reason it's a 9.9 is because I never did get the freaking Hadoken.

User Rating: 9.8 | RockMan X SNES
Megaman X was my first ever console game that I owned. It was 2002, and my parents were finally harangued enough to let me enter the world of video games. So we got a loaned SNES from a friend, and I looked through all the games. Wheel Of Fortune, Super Mario World, all stuff that either looked boring or too flashy. Then I laid eyes upon the game we speak of now, and for four long years, Megaman X still remains my top favorite game of all time.

The music stuck in my head and I hummed it all through my years in middle school, when noone seemed to notice. I drew crappy pictures of Megaman during classes (which led to my bad habits today.) And I got the ROM to keep playing it, even when we had to say goodbye to the old Super Nintendo and in with a new, *purple* Gamecube... though it wasn't really a cube until we got the Game Boy Player. There we go.

Now I have the MMX Collection, and I own the game all over again. The GFX, sound and play control are just as good as they were four years ago, and I still remember my old maneuvers. ("Go nova!" was something I used to shout, and which consisted of a dash jump followed by a upgraded full charge shot.) Then, if I liked it SO much, why isn't this rated a ten?

I'll tell you why.

Street Fighter, your influence on MMX can go to hell.
