Probably the best Mega Man title on the gameboy. Also the only one that doesn't recycle the bosses from the NES games.

In my opinion, this is easily the best GB Mega Man game. Unlike the other four, it does not recycle bosses and (partly) stages from the NES titles, but instead has Mega Man travel through space to stop a group of sinister planet-themed alien robots.

These robots, called Space Rulers ("Stardroids" in other versions) and lead by Terra, want to take over the world ... of course! And behind all this is.... hehe, play and find out. But seriously, if you ever played one of the classic Mega Man games, you should already know who the evil mastermind is.

Each of those nine evil robots is named after a planet. Except poor Pluto (heheh). As always, you have to defeat them all one by one to save the world. Almost any boss can be defeated easily just by using your normal charged shot, which is unfortunate since you don't have to experiment with several weapons on several bosses as in other Mega Man games.

The difficulty is a bit toned down compared to other Mega Man titles, but the game still poses a legitimate challenge nonetheless. There are a few tough parts that will require a few tries before you can move on.

Each stage looks distinct and has an unique feel to it. The boss design is pretty awesome as well. The music is nice as ever, but some tracks get repetitive too soon (pretty much like in other Mega Man games).

I've beaten this game many times, and I still like playing through it from time to time. As said before, this is probably the best GB Mega Man, so if you like Mega Man games or classic platformers in general, you can't go wrong with this one.
