though not as good as the second, this battle network, the fourth, is still decent and a good buy for all megamn fans

I've always been a fan of the Megaman Battle Network series, and this game continues that trend. How? The addition of two new features to the game that I really enjoyed.

The Good: The DblSoul ability, which allows you to merge with another Netnavi, as well as use their special charge attacks. Also good were the tournaments. I liked the tournaments. Of the three tournaments, Dencity Tournament, Hawk/Eagle Tournament, and Blue Moon/Red Sun tournament, each of them allowed you to gain a new one of the six souls. More souls can be unlocked by beating the game once, then you get the next two souls over the course of beating the game on hard mode, and when you beat that, you have the choice of getting the last one on the Uber-hard mode.

The Bad: Though pushovers in the beginning, the viruses get harder before you have a chance to get better, and Capcom had no trouble creating new strategies for them to use, such as when a boomer lets fly with a boomerang and a mettaur hits you while dodging the boomerang. Though this only does 10-15 damage, it still prevents you from getting good loot from winning. Sometimes, such as when you have to go into Undernet six, to get the Ssensor for Django, the viruses get insanely hard, such as sixth level viruses on the easy mode. The EX viruses come along too early, limiting the widely liked diversity of the viruses. Unfortunately, for every person you fight in a tournament, there's a trivial task to do first, and this really ticked me off. Why can't you just fight the tournament?

The Beautiful: Three modes! You can beat Duo for the first time, and go back to the beginning of the game! Doesn't sound so good to you? the viruses are one level higher, as are the EX viruses, and you keep your former HP and chip folders, exactly as you beat the game with them. And then you can beat it again, and BAM!!! you're on Uber-hard mode, and once again, the viruses get level ups, and suddenly your fighting for your life against Mettaur3EXes! It's pure adrenaline

In spite of the bad, there's a good balance to this game, and I haven't played it yet, but I hope they get rid of those trivial in-between tasks for the tournaments. If you liked the other games, I'd suggest this, there's not a bad storyline, but unfortunately, the battles could use some upgrading, it's basically just a prettier "same ol', same ol'"
