Improves upon Mega Man 4, but doesn't add more to the experience. ------- 9.1/10

Mega Man 5 is the fifth installment in the Mega Man franchise. It improves upon Mega Man 4, but isn't very different. The only thing keeping this from being Mega Man 4.5 is a bigger charged up Mega Buster shot.

Graphics: The graphics are still the same as the first 4... *Sigh* It wouldn't bother me as much, if Capcom would mix things up a little bit. They've kept the same sprites 4 times, and they're starting to show their age. 8.3/10

Story: The story begins with 8 robot masters behind... Protoman?! Looks like Protoman has finally turned evil. Protoman kidnaps Dr. Light, and leaves a letter to Mega Man, that I would guess states his demands. 10/10

Controls: The controls are as simple as ever. A to jump, B to shoot. Not much to say, here. 10/10

Difficulty: I found this game to be a bit easier than most Mega Man games. It's a bit more accessable to casual players, just looking for a quick game. The core game only takes about 1 or 2 hours to complete. The game is less about level design, and more about simple enemy placement. 9/10

Overall, this is a very good game, that improves upon the previous one. I'd say that this game is worth a rental. It's a short game, that could probably be beaten in a single day. Also note that back in the NES era, there weren't a lot of games with a save function, but instead a password. Be sure to write it down, when you beat a robot master. 9.1/10
