Without a doubt the most impressive of the original Megaman games.

User Rating: 9.5 | Rockman 5: Blues no Wana!? NES
Although I have memories of playing nearly all of the early Megaman games in my childhood (Except the first Megaman title), none of them stick with me quite as much as Megaman 5. At this point the developers have ironed out many of the wrinkles evident in the first few titles, resulting in what is perhaps the greatest Megaman title before the X series.

Those familiar with Megaman games need no introduction to the gameplay, Megaman 5 shares the same basic concept as all of the releases. The presence of sliding and gun-charging capabilities gives the player supreme control over The Blue Bomber, and is in the end what makes this title superior to the series' first two. Although gameplay is as fluid as ever, it is evenly matched with the game's superb musical score. All Megaman games have been known for their great tunes, and 5 is no different! You'll have Stone Man's theme stuck in your head for days.

The game is reasonably challenging and features a very immersive final bout, a great way to spend an afternoon.
