After Wily sides with Light to create a law-enforcing robot, things only roll downhill.

User Rating: 9 | Rockman 3: Dr. Wily no Saigo!? NES
Upon being taken down twice by none other than Mega Man himself, the once-devious Dr. Wily finally decides to surrender his evil ways and form with Dr. Light in order to create a peace keeper named Gamma. However, things take a horrible turn as eight robots the two created in order to maintain peace and enforce the law turn evil, destroying whatever they come across.

The team of evil robots take all eight power crystals, one in the possession of each. Leaving Dr. Light no alternative, he calls upon Mega Man a third time to wipe out the destructive machines. All the while, Dr. Wily mysteriously disappears from the whole scene, leaving an obvious suspicion that he may have tricked Dr. Light. Though, instead of going it alone, Mega Man now travels with a trusty companion named Rush, a robotic dog which can change forms to make the journey considerably easier.

Good: Same beloved gameplay and charm as the second game * Companion "Rush" makes things much easier * Great colorful graphics

Bad: Proves too challenging at times * Cover art improved but still pretty ugly

Graphics: Following more closely to the bright and colorful feeling that Mega Man 2 had, the graphics in Mega Man 3 are, without a doubt, simply some of the best on the NES.

Sound/Music: A lot of the sounds have been moved from the first two games into this one. While the sounds aren't very original considering they're the same as the other games, the music is another story. Just like the first two Mega Man games, the soundtrack is purely awesome, fun to listen to and even memorable.

Difficulty: Easy for some, hard for others, the overall difficulty really depends on who's playing. Even for Mega Man veterans, some of the levels still can prove a challenge.

Gameplay: Nothing has changed much from the first two games, excluding the addition of Rush, which proves more than useful in many situations.

Controls: Just as solid and responsive as the others, which is exceptionally well.

Overall: Definitely not one to miss out on if you own an NES, everything from a great soundtrack to excellent gameplay really give this one a name up there with Mega Man 2.
