One of the greatest Mega Man games to date.

User Rating: 9.5 | Rockman 2: Dr. Wily no Nazo NES
Not only Mega Man 2 is the greatest Mega Man game, it's also the greatest NES game. As the title may suggest, Mega Man 2 is the sequel to the first Mega Man for the NES. The title screen is interesting; it shows Mega Man standing on top of a tower and the rock and roll music kicks in. Unlike the first game, Mega Man 2 lets you fight eight robot masters instead of six. Their names are Bubble Man, Air Man, Quick Man, Heat Man, Wood Man, Metal Man, Flash Man and Crash Man. It also debuted the password feature. You put nine balls in the required holes, and there you have it. You got the password right. You can also gain passwords by beating stages as well. Just make sure you write them down, so you won't forget. Mega Man 2 also offers a good challenge, but makes it slightly easier by debuting Energy Tanks, power-ups you use in the sub screen. You can collect up to four of those life-savers. There are also good codes, but the most valuable code is infinite weapons for some weapons. For example, when you fire three Metal Blades and pause, you get infinite blades, just make sure you repeat that all the time. Another good code is when you are about to get hit, pause at the right time so you won't get hit. The next one is not helpful, but it's kinda amusing. When you hold down the B Button at the Stage Select screen and select the desired stage, the stars will be replaced with birds. Try that at a comedy show. With an interesting title screen, a debut of passwords and energy tanks, a good challenge and built-in cheat codes, Mega Man 2 will not disappoint. It's one of the greatest Mega Man games to date hands down.
