What a brilliant and unappreciated game...

It's been a while since the first Medievil and this one brings it back with a shine. The first thing I noticed were the beautiful graphics and the wonderful voice acting. It seemed more like watching a finely choreographed movie than playing a game. The music and sound effects are wonderful. There were only a few minor problems with the game. There was the problem that sometimes (especially in the mini-games) when it was obvious that you had hit an enemy, the enemy had taken no damage. Another thing was the battle mechanics. Other than that the controls are easy and can be learned and felt comfortable with in a number of minutes. This is excellent for novices. Fighting gets dull after a while although it is fun to switch to your ranged weapon every once in a while and take out some unsuspecting zombie or imp. Also the camera can get somewhat crazy during the busiest of melees. Although the game isn't without its charm (and what a mighty charm at that) it isn't without its problems either. Nevertheless it is worth any gamers time, whether novice or expert. It's just too bad that a lot of people don't realize this and they unappreciate what a wonderful game this is. What a highly underrated game this is...
