Problem with Lag in battle - Just bought from steam

Hiya Havent played medieval 2 for years and saw it on offer on steam and i thought why the heck not. Game however keeps Skipping words and the camera lags. When there talking they start to repeat themselves then just cut to the end of sentence. Ive set all the graphics to lowest without reflections and everything :-/ Im playing on a -HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC Intel core i7 -NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M switchable graphics with 2048MB gDDR5 and 1696MB total graphics memory -8GB DDR3 SDRAM (2 DIMM) Im sorry if i didnt put enough or too much info on. First time on a forum and i just wanted some help. Hope you can Help Cheers
